Protecting Your History with Google

NourishNot works without an account. Google protection is an optional way to reconnect to the same NourishNot history on another installation.

Anonymous use remains available

You do not need to create an account for basic NourishNot use. If you choose to continue anonymously, your installation can still record and use history normally.

What protection adds

Protecting your history with Google links your NourishNot history to a protected account. This can help you reconnect to that history after reinstalling or when using another device.

Google protection is about continuity. It does not turn every basic feature into a login-only feature.

When history already exists

If NourishNot finds existing protected history while the current installation also has its own activity, the app may ask whether you want to restore or merge the histories. You can cancel the prompt without immediately replacing the current installation’s identity or data, then return to the choice later.

After a successful restore or merge, supported history is associated with the protected history and the installation can continue recording to it.

Before changing devices: Protect your history while you still have access to the original installation. Anonymous history that was never protected may not be recoverable after all local app data is lost.

Signing out

Signing out disconnects the current protected session. It does not mean that the protected history itself has been deleted.
